Jackie Brown

Director - Quentin Tarantino

Genre - Crime/Drama/Thriller

A marriage of perfect harmony between two artists well-versed in crime fiction. Elmore Leonard's nail-biting, ass-clenching moments habitually found in his entertaining paperbacks are visually realized here in all its potent glory. As always, the words from a Leonard creation fires on all cylinders, taking no prisoners. The story of an over the hill stewardess who takes on a last ditch attempt at a score gone increasingly complicated is consequentially more dire than the rest of QT's works.

Easily the best thing to have been signed and delivered by that man. I love it!

Though never as exhilarating or explosive as Tarantino's two previous features, Jackie Brown is a very good watch nonetheless. The movie moves very smoothly. Even though it wasn't really difficult to guess the climax in advance, Tarantino managed to ensure that the viewers remain glued to their seats.
