Shit, I don't know about this Winding Refn guy. He seems to be ripping off other directors all the time. Kubrick (Bronson), Herzog (that shitty viking movie).

Knowing Terrance Mallick's work enough, I think it's safe to expect that the trophy goes to him this year

Sleeping Beauty is generating a lot of buzz. I'm not too sure how it'd fare against Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Terrence Malick, though. Although I'd like Ceylan to win, I think Malick is a shoo in.
We're quite fond of Terrence Malick too. 'Days of Heaven' is one of our favorite movies of all time. A win for Malick will hopefully egg him on to make more movies and we're all for that happening. :)
