Director - George Clooney
Genre - Drama/Thriller
With this picture and 'Drive', Ryan Gosling has performed a back to back feat of giving us two incredibly memorable roles in current cinema. He is well at the top of his game at this point in time when most of the young actors at his age are still looking for that elusive gem role which would put them on the big league. Credit also has to be given to George Clooney, who directed a hell of a movie here, the story of which is from a play called 'Farragut North'. A political thriller with emphasis on the character evolvement of a junior campaign manager (Gosling), the story takes us on a whirlwind tour of how dirty and unscrupulously without mercy the games played by men in politics can be.
